Loud noise at work can damage hearing. Approximately 22 million U.S. worker are exposed to hazardous noise at work. To minimize occupational noise-induced hearing loss, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recommends that workers should not be exposed to noise at a level amounts to more than 85 decibels (dBA) for 8 hours.
- Physiological disorders - Disturbances can be elevated blood pressure, pulse can cause pale and sesory disturbances.
- Psychological disorders - In the form of discomfort, lack of concentrantion and emotion.
- Communication disorders - Can cause disruption of work even to the accident because it cannot hear a signal or a danger sign.
- Hearing to discorders - is the most serious disorder because its effect can cause reduced hearing fanction.
2.Physical Hazards include :
- Using the device should be like an the workplace hearing aid.
- The use of ear plugs and earplugs can reduce roise exposure.
- Converting machines at work to slow sound.
- Change the workers work schedule to avoid excessive noise.
- Removal of resources or even more silent replacement equipment.
- Radiation:including ionizing,non-ionizing.
- High exposure to sunlight / ultraviolet rays
- Temperature extremes - hot and cold.
- Constant loud noise.
